Day 6 and 7 of the Queens Baton Relay

The Queen’s Baton Relay will enter the Ballina Shire this afternoon at Alstonville at 4:37pm onto Ballina at 5:03pm and end at Fawcett Park podium at 5:29pm. Resuming its journey in Ballina at 7.02 am it will travel on to Lennox Head where it will depart for Byron Bay at 7:56am.

The Melbourne 2006 Queen’s Baton Relay is the world’s longest, most inclusive relay, travelling more than 180,000 kilometres and visiting all 71 nations of the Commonwealth in one year and a day.

The torch also contains a GPS (Global Positioning System) so that you can follow its progress. Follow the baton online.
