Former Ballina swimmer makes Games history
Former Ballina swimmer Adam Pine has entered the record books following his selection in the Australian team for the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in March.
Pine, 29, who now lives in Canberra, has been chosen for his fourth Commonwealth Games — the most ever by an Australian.
He gained selection by winning the 100m butterfly in the Games trials on February 3.
Pine, who was an Australian Olympic representative at the Sydney Games in 2000, has two bronze medals and a silver to show for his three previous Commonwealth Games.
Let’s hope he goes one better and gets a ‘complete set’ — gold, silver and bronze.
