Ballina Shire Council will be carrying out aerial spraying of Bitou Bush within the Shire of Ballina on THURSDAY the 25th and/or FRIDAY the 26th of MAY 2006 (weather permitting). “Monsanto Roundup®” will be used containing the active ingredient 360g/L Glyphosate. The spraying will be postponed to the following week if unfavourable weather conditions apply.

Former Tintenbar resident David Hollyoak, pictured, has scored another major win with his Redoak specialty beers. Now based in Sydney, David and his sister Janet run the Redoak Boutique Beer Cafe. A community display at the Richmond Room in Ballina on Saturday, May 13, will provide the public with a further understanding of the Ballina bypass project, according to the Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA).
