Weekend surf report
The big swell that arrived last weekend has hung around all week, and it’s been a great week of surfing from Ballina to Lennox Head.
Lennox Point and The Pass at Byron Bay have been popular spots as a south-east swell up to 2m produced ideal waves.
There’s also been waves at Flat Rock and Boulders, but it’s been too big for the Ballina beaches, although Speeds Reef had some nice waves this morning before the wind got too strong.
These conditions should continue this weekend, with the Bureau of Meterology predicting south to south-east winds and a swell to 3m.
Congratulations to the organisers of the All Girls Showdown at Lennox Head for another successful event. Now we can look forward to another success story of this area, the Rusty Gromfest.
The Gromfest will be in the Lennox Head area from July 7-11.
