Ballina Tennis Club granted $5000
The Ballina Tennis Club has received a one-off grant of $5000 for the construction of a pergola shade facility, Member for Ballina Don Page has announced.
Mr Page said he was delighted he was able to help secure funding for the project under the Rural and Regional Grants Fund.
“A pergola shade facility at the club’s grounds on the corner of Cherry and Burnett streets will protect the children’s play area and provide shade for members,” Mr Page said.
“It gets very hot at the courts and shade is a necessity, especially in summer.
“The Ballina Tennis Club caters for tennis players of all ages and has produced some of New South Wales’ top tennis players.
“This shade facility will considerably enhance the club’s grounds and provide important shade areas for members and casual users of the courts.”
