Alstonville Soccer Club gets $55,000 grant for lighting upgrade
The Alstonville Soccer Club has received a grant of $55,000 to upgrade lighting facilities at Crawford Park, Member for Ballina Don Page announced today.
Mr Page said he was delighted he was able to assist in securing funding for the project under the Regional Sports Facilities Program administered by the Department of Sport and Recreation.
“This lighting upgrade will provide match standard lighting at Crawford Park allowing matches to be held at night, rather than only in the late afternoon and on weekends,” Mr Page said.
“The club’s 625 players will benefit greatly from the new and improved lighting at the grounds, as well the visiting teams who regularly use Crawford Park.
“The Alstonville Soccer Club has committed significant funding towards the project and it is pleasing their efforts have been rewarded with the receipt of this grant.”
