Page turns first sod in Watermark Apartments development
Member for Ballina Don Page has turned the first sod at the new Watermark Apartments site at Ballina, marking what he says is a significant step in the development of the town’s waterfront precinct.
Mr Page said the $6.6 million development located at Fawcett Street would replace the recently demolished Golden Eagle flats.
“The six-storey development consists of five units which will all be sold as private residences, with one unit already bought off the plan,” Mr Page said.
“The Watermark Apartments will continue the enhancement of Ballina’s well-known waterfront precinct.
“This new development will provide the missing link in the riverfront cycleway, allowing waterfront public access.
“Ballina’s waterfront is quickly becoming a popular destination for residents and visitors to the town. The impressive Waterfront Apartments will continue the modernisation of that area and provide first-class residential accommodation.”
