Weekend surf report
A swell of 2m-plus looks likely to greet surfers this weekend, but conditions will be rough and suited only for experienced surfers.
One intrepid surfer was being towed into some big left-handers at Shelly Beach this morning. A jet ski was the only way anyone could have got out.
Winds from the south-east and east are forecast for this weekend, so spots like Lennox Point and Byron could be the best places.
Earlier in the week conditions were ideal, with offshore winds bringing nice beach breaks from Ballina through to Lennox.
