Tender let for bypass pre-construction

Member for Ballina Don Page today welcomed the announcement of the successful tender for pre-construction work on the Ballina Bypass.

SCU gets a four-star rating

Southern Cross University has received a four-star overall graduate rating and a four-star rating for graduate satisfaction in the 2007 Good Universities Guide.

Roads grants announced

Two councils within the Ballina Electorate have been allocated $2 million for road works and repairs, Member for Ballina Don Page said.
Mr Page said Ballina and Byron Shire Councils had received funding under the 2006/07 Block Grants and Repair Programs.
The funding allocations are as follows:

Ballina Shire Council - $1.23 million
Byron Shire Council - $766,000
