Ballina to host junior league grand finals

Ballina will host the Group One Junior Rugby League grand finals on Saturday, following the finals held at Evans Head.

Games on Saturday start at 9am.

Group One Juniors publicity officer Brian Rix provided this rundown:

Under-10s: Ballina defeated Lennox Head 20-10. Ballina now play Kyogle for the title. This is shaping up to be a very even game with Kyogle expected to have the upper hand.

Under-11s: Byron Bay defeated Casino 24-18. Byron now play Marist for the title. Marist seem to be favourites in this age group.

Under-12s: Marist Brothers defeated Ballina 14-6. Marist now play Clarence Coast for the title. Clarence Coast have came good at the right end of the season and will be hard to beat.

Under-13s: Kyogle defeated Grafton 38- 18. Kyogle now play Ballina for the title. Ballina deserve to be odds-on favourites for this age division as they have been undefeated all year.

Under-14s: Ballina defeated Kyogle 28-16. Ballina now play Marist for the title. Marist have beaten Ballina twice this year and drawn once, and would be expected to win again.

Under-15s: Marist Brothers defeated South Grafton 22-4. Marist now play Kyogle for the title. Kyogle will be very hard to beat, they have been the form side in this age division all year.

Under-16s: Casino defeated South Grafton 34-28. Casino now play Byron Bay for the title. This game will be one worth waiting for as it will come down to who makes the least mistakes, they will be the ones who come out on top.
