The Law Enforcement Torch Run, which is promoting next month’s Special Olympics National Games on the Gold Coast, will come to Ballina on Tuesday, September 26.

The State Labor Government is jeopardising the future of community facilities in the Ballina electorate by significantly increasing rent on Crown Land, Member for Ballina Don Page said.

Our run of poor weekend surfing conditions continues, with a small northerly swell and strong north winds.
And it looks like there’s little chance of improving conditions over the weekend, with northerlies forecast.

The swell is small and the wind is onshore, so it looks like another weekend of ordinary surf.
South-east to easterly winds are forecast. The best bet will be an early start in the hope of getting a beach break somewhere.
