Weekend surf report

This week’s wild weather has resulted in a solid southerly swell to 2m, so there’s a strong chance of good waves this weekend.

The weather bureau predicts south-east to easterly winds for Saturday, swinging to the north-east by Sunday.

Hopefully, those persistent northerlies will stay away long enough for us to make the most of the present conditions.

The swell is too big for the beaches, so places like Lennox Point and Byron could be the go. The wall at Evans Head might also be worth a look.

I had a look at Boulders mid-week and there seems to be very little sand there.
