Lennox Head, Ballina weekend surf report
Surfing conditions in the Lennox Head-Ballina area are poor, with a northerly swell of barely a foot and north-easterly winds.
A southerly change is forecast for tonight, and it might clean up what swell there is.
Check the beach breaks early, and hope that the southerly change brings an increase in swell.
Meanwhile, the 2007 Icon Australia All Girls Surf Showdown has a new events co-ordinator — Yvette Hancock.
She replaces Vicki Bellato, who has stepped down due to work commitments. A big ‘well done’ to Vicki for her efforts.
“Yvette has played an active role in the event for the past three years as head tallier, which includes recording of statistics over the event weekend. Yvette has also played an important role within the All Girls Surfriders Club as secretary since 2005,” Vicki said.
