A special welcome for our visitors
Passengers arriving at Ballina/Byron Gateway Airport are being treated to a special welcome.
As part of the Ballina Visitor Centre’s newest initiative, people are on hand to meet and greet visitors at the Ballina/Byron Gateway Airport, and showcase the Ballina Coast and Hinterland Visitor Guide.
Ballina Visitor Information Centre has recruited a new volunteer for this program, and hopes to run the meet and greet exercise until the second week in January 2007.
“With the large volume of visitors coming into the region through the Ballina airport at this time of year, it makes sense to promote the Ballina Coast and Hinterland to all who come through the airport,” says Caroline Breen, Ballina Shire Councils’ Tourism Co-ordinator.
“We hope to capture most flights arriving into Ballina, particularly those visitors arriving on the jet services from Sydney and Melbourne.”
If you have visiting friends and relatives at your house over the festive season, you can get your copy of the Ballina Coast and Hinterland Visitor Guide by calling the Visitor Centre on 1800 777 666.
