Ballina Shire Light Up winners announced
Christmas has come early for Jenny Hill, of 11 Camburt Street in Ballina.
Jenny is the winner of the $500 Christmas hamper in the Ballina Shire Light-Up.
More than 70 shire residents ‘lit up’ their houses this Christmas, prompting mayor Phillip Silver to say: “It is wonderful to see our shire share in the joy of Christmas.”
Fourteen business owners took part in the People’s Choice Shop Front Window Light Up, and the winner with 13 votes was Red Lane Shoes. The owners win a media package worth $1100, courtesy of the Ballina Advocate and The Northern Star.
This year the council also held a draw for a prize for those who voted for the People’s Choice Shop Front Window Light Up. The winner is Lauren Chadwick, of Brisbane. Her prize is a yacht charter for up to 12 people, courtesy of Baysail.
