The stage is set for Beats on the Beach
Kingsford Smith Park at Ballina looks nothing like a rugby league field — it’s taking on a new look in preparation for tomorrow’s Beats on the Beach concert.
The whole Kingsford Smith sports complex — taking in the league and cricket fields and netball courts — is fenced off.
The area has become a maze of tents, parking spaces, camp sites, portable toilets and food stalls as organisers prepare for an expected crowd of about 6000.
The main stage has been set up in the middle of the league field.
Headlining the concert is Pete Murray.
Beats on the Beach starts at 10am on New Year’s Day and will conclude at 9pm.
