Search for surfer missing off Lennox Head
The search for a missing surfer off the North Coast will continue today.
About 4.30pm on Sunday (28 January), a 34-year-old German national was surfing with friends at Seven Mile Beach at Lennox Head when he went missing.
Police have been told the man became detached from the group and was last seen about 5pm. The man was last seen wearing beige board shorts and a black top with one yellow sleeve.
Yesterday, officers from Richmond Local Area Command conducted an extensive land, air and sea search for the missing man, with assistance from the Coast Guard, Lifesaver Helicopter and Volunteer Rescue Association.
Today, Coffs Harbour Water Police will be assisted by Polair, Ballina Coastguard and Brunswick Heads Volunteer Rescue Association.
