More power to Lennox Head, Cumbalum residents
Lennox Head and Cumbalum residents will soon have a much more secure power supply, Member for Ballina Don Page said today.
Mr Page said the new $5.5 million zone substation built to upgrade the power supply to Lennox Head and Cumbalum would be energised this Sunday, with full power into the grid two weeks later.
“The cable from the new zone substation will be underground with no visual impact,” Mr Page said.
He said Lennox Head and Cumbalum are currently supplied from the upgraded Ballina zone substation, so some pressure will come off this Ballina substation when the Lennox Head substation kicks in.
