Have just noticed that the Ballina Shire Council have just recently placed an ad on careers.com.au for a new general manager.
The job comes in at a negotiable $170,000 with a five-year performance contract thrown in. Not bad biccies!
“The General Manager will be responsible for a large multidisciplinary organisation of 260 staff and an annual budget exceeding $60 million. The Council seeks an energetic General Manager to be a driving force in delivering a complex range of services to the community. The General Manager will also assist the elected Council develop its strategic direction and priorities and will lead, motivate and develop staff to achieve results. The ideal candidate will have strong financial management and communication skills. Relevant tertiary qualifications are also highly desirable. “
