Lennox Head-Alstonville finishes as NSW’s best

Lennox Head-Alstonville Surf Lifesaving Club has finished as the leading New South Wales competitor as NSW athletes dominated the final session of competition at the East Coast Championships at Kurrawa today, winning all but one of the board races held over from Saturday’s competition.

A body-boarder who was attacked by a shark off a Ballina beach this morning has escaped serious injury.
The man’s injuries have been described as ‘not life-threatening’ by police, although he did receive serious injuries to his leg.

Coalition promises stamp duty concessions

Surfing conditions from Evans Head north to Lennox Head are poor, with a strong onshore wind.
Ballina’s beaches are blown out, and the weather reports suggest that the onshores will continue over the weekend.

Page welcomes extra police numbers
