Wardell to host Harmony Day activities
The Wardell Community Access Space located at 9 Sinclair Street, Wardell, will be hosting Harmony Day on March 21.
The celebrations will start at 10am with an Aboriginal Elder opening the day, followed by a performance by local Aboriginal dancers.
The day will also include Aboriginal arts and crafts, a free barbecue, displays and more.
“Harmony Day is a government initiative to celebrate a day of Harmony within the community. The theme of the day is to say ‘no’ to racism and intolerance in our community, to celebrate multicultural diversity and recommit to our common values of respect and goodwill. All community members are invited to attend and participate in the range of activities,” a Ballina Shire Council spokeswoman said..
