Tanyn wins national surf lifesaving titles

Outstanding young Lennox Head-Alstonville Surf Lifesaving Club member Tanyn Lyndon is the national Under-15 ironman and board race champion.

Tanyn, who has had a great season, won the titles at the national championships at Perth’s Scarborough Beach on Sunday.

His sister Kamley also starred, finishing third in the Under-19 female 2km beach run.

Tanyn’s achievement’s this season include the being the only person to win the Ironman-Surf Race-Board treble at the Warriors on Water interstate event on the Gold Coast, and the Under-15 ironman at the East Coast Championships.

Also starring at the Masters championships were Byron Bay’s Glen Lawrence and Mitchell Phillips.

Lawrence won the 45-49 years ironman and rescue tube events, and teamed with Phillips to win the 40-44 years board rescue.
