Alstonville-Wollongbar rallies behind Bridget Owens
The Alstonville-Wollongbar community is rallying around Bridget Owens, who has a rare form of cancer.
There will be a fund-raising night, A Big Bash for Bridget, at the Wollongbar Tavern from 6pm on Saturday, May 5.
All money raised will be donated to Bridget and her two children.
The cost of $30 includes a complimentary drink, hot nibbles and a ticket in the lucky door prizes and games.
Among the prizes are wine, health and beauty products, a Fox Racing shirt signed by three-time Australian champion Troy Carroll and four-times Mr Motocross Craig Dack, a family pass to Dreamworld, a camera, V8 Supercar driver Mark Winterbottom merchandise, a Queensland Reds jumper and a one-off original Men of the Plateau calendar.
Tickets are available from the Pioneer Tavern, Main Street Pharmacy Alstonville, The Terrace Cafe Alstonville Plaza, Clarke’s on Main Hairdressing and Alstonville Bowling Club.
