The Alstonville-Wollongbar community is rallying around Bridget Owens, who has a rare form of cancer.
There will be a fund-raising night, A Big Bash for Bridget, at the Wollongbar Tavern from 6pm on Saturday, May 5.
All money raised will be donated to Bridget and her two children.

Ballina is being publicised in three States as part of a $1.5m marketing campaign by air carrier Jetstar and the NSW Government.
