Ballina triathletes shine in Byron Triathlon

tri51.jpgBallina Triathlon Club had a very successful race day at the 2007 Byron Bay Triathlon.

Club spokesman Adam Horder, who owns Ballina’s Intershape Gym, said club members turned in many awesome performances, including:

Heather Peal, 1st, Female 30-34 years.

Lynne Hackett, 2nd, Female 45-49 years (trains at Intershape).

Jess Purbrick, 2nd, female 25-29 years (trains at Intershape).

Pip Taylor, 3rd, Female Open.

Team Ballino, 1st female team (Tracey Rice, Sharon Nipperess and Karen of Intershape).

Shane Flannery, 3rd, Male 45-49 years.

Adam Horder, 4th, Male 35-39 years (position overall, 16th).

Chris Hackett, 6th male 40-44 years.

Adam said of the event: “A fantastic day, top venue and terrific atmosphere with many other outstanding performances. Ballina, Lennox Head and Alstonville had over 35 entrants in the individual and teams events.”
