A new report has found freight travelling from Sydney to Brisbane will almost triple by 2029, heightening the urgent need to complete the upgrade of the Pacific Highway to dual carriageway, Shadow Minister for North Coast Don Page said today.

Ballina to host NSW Business Chamber Council meeting

Representatives from business chambers from around NSW will descend on Ballina on Thursday for the NSW Business Chamber Council meeting.

Work starts on community art gallery in Ballina

Work has started on the refurbishment and conversion of Ballina’s Old Council Chambers, pictured, into the Northern Rivers Community Art Gallery.
Transfield Services commenced work this week on the substantial redevelopment of the Old Council Chambers, Ballina, which is expected to take 10-12 weeks to complete.

Ballina Triathlon Club had a very successful race day at the 2007 Byron Bay Triathlon.
