Cabin cruiser beached at Evans Head

A boat owner had a lucky escape last night when his cabin cruiser struck the north wall of the Evans Head bar, police said.
The incident happened at 6.20pm as the man, from Lake Haven on the Central Coast, attempted to guide his boat across the bar.

Police have charged a man following an alleged malicious wounding at East Ballina.
