Woman killed in crash south of Ballina
A 22-year-old woman has been killed in a traffic accident south of Ballina.
Police said that at 9.30pm yesterday a Nissan Pulsar travelling east on Bagotville Road at Meerschaum Vale left the road, lost control and hit a tree.
As a result the front passenger, a 22-year-old local woman, died at the scene. The 23-year-old man driver escaped with only minor injuries.
