14 year old Reece Wilson of Ballina Bowling Club and 13 year old Aaron Teys of Evans Head Bowling Club recently attended the Talented Athlete Program at the Sydney Academy of Sport in Narabeen. The week long course enabled the boys to look further into lawn bowls with education in nutrition, public speaking, psychology and practice techniques to further their knowledge of the game of Lawn Bowls.

Both boys came home exhausted but enjoyed being with other talented kids who loved the game as much as they do.

Reece and Aaron are also a part of the District 4’s team who recently played against another district to win their Zone for 2007, meaning they will travel to Wollongong to represent their Zone in the July school holidays.

We all wish the boys the best of luck for their upcoming tournament and for their future in the game.
