Battese placed second in Player of the Year
Ballina Seagulls’ livewire hooker Andrew Battese is running equal second in the Northern Retravision League Player of the Year competition.
Battese is on 15 points, five behind leader Luke Scott (Marist Brothers). South Tweed’s Graham Smallwood also is on 15 points.
Ballina halfback Willie Hammond also has polled well this season and is on 11 points, two ahead of teammate Dylan Montgomery.
