Ballina Seagulls, Brothers in 24-all draw

Ballina Seagulls have been joined at the top of the Northern Retravision League competition by Mullumbimby Giants after round 15 this weekend.

Ballina had an exciting 24-all draw with Marist Brothers in Lismore today to move to 25 points on the competition table.

Mullumbimby, who were on 23 points going into Saturday night’s match against Casino RSM, won 30-22 at home to move to 25 points.

Tweed Coast Raiders had a 72-14 win over Kyogle to move into third spot on 24 points.

Brothers and Byron Bay, who had the bye today, share fourth spot on 21 points.

In other games today, Lower Clarence beat South Grafton 46-8, Murwillumbah beat Cudgen 52-14, and South Tweed beat Grafton Ghosts 29-22.

In Ballina’s lower-grade matches against Brothers, the Reserves won 26-4 but the Under-18s lost 18-0.
