It’s time to think about your Ballina Cup frock
It’s time to start thinking about frocking up for this year’s Ballina Cup, to be run at the Ballina Jockey Club’s course on Thursday, September 13.
And it’s not just the ladies who should be wondering what to wear — there’s also going to be prizes for the best-dressed male.
The Best Dressed Lady will win flights for two to Sydney, staying at Star City Casino. Also included in the package is a gourmet wine tour.
For the Best Dressed Male, there will be a $150 gift voucher from Triple-X Wetsuits.
The Best Dressed Couple will win $50 gift vouchers from Williams the Shoeman and a dinner worth $150 at Izabelle’s Restaurant at the Illawong Hotel in Evans Head.
Best hat of the day will win its wearer a dinner to the value of $100 at Izabelle’s Restaurant.
The Ballina Cup is one of five cup days before Christmas.
The Broadwater Cup will be run on September 2, the Ballina Cup will be followed by the Bangalow Cup on October 1, and then the Lennox Head Cup on October 14, and the Evans Head Cup on November 3.
Rounding out the cups will be the Men of League Cup on December 15, which also promises to be a big day, given the charitable work done by Men of League.
