Some weird and not-so-weird vehicles will parade through Ballina tomorrow, September 13, when The Great Escape car rally finishes.

The cystic fibrosis fund-raising event began in Tamworth on September 3 and travelled north to the Whitsundays.

Forty-eight vehicles make up the convoy.

The cars and drivers will gather at the Big Prawn about 11.30am and will remain there until 12.45, when they head up River Street.

The convoy will arrive at Missingham Bridge Park about 1pm.

They will be on display until 2pm.

“The Great Escape is a car rally that has always been a little different, a little unpredictable and always promises an incredible outback adventure. This is the sixth year CFA has hosted the on-road/off-road rally, and we are really pleased The Great Escape is shaping up to be our major fundraising event for cystic fFibrosis,” said Terry Stewart, CEO of Cystic Fibrosis Australia.
