East Ballina Lions to hold ‘Cafe Under the Trees’

On Sunday 16th September the East Ballina Lions Club will be hoping for better weather than the rain that forced the cancellation of the markets last month.

Despite the rain the Lions still did a great trade, with their bacon and eggs providing breakfast to the stall holders and those brave souls that battled the weather to buy the fresh fruit and vegetables that were still available.

The market this Sunday will take place at Canal Road and East Ballina Lions will again be running their ‘Cafe Under the Trees’.

Bacon and eggs from the barbecue will be on the menu while sausage sandwiches are available at $2 each.

Local coffee teamed with Dutch pancakes with a choice of toppings for morning tea is a speciality at the markets.

The stalls at the markets offer fresh fruit and vegetables at fair prices while a stroll around always brings the chance of finding a good book, a plant for the garden, a bargain or a special treasure.
