Ballina Bombers chase premiership double

The Ballina Bombers will be chasing the Summerland Australian Football League premiership double when they play Byron Magpies in the grand final at Shultz Oval, Bangalow, on Saturday, September 22.

Victory against their coastal rivals would give the Bombers a third successive premiership.

Bombers coach Scott Brooks believes Ballina’s size and strength could prove too much for Byron.

But Byron, under coach Carl Fail, are coming off an impressive 38-point win over the Lismor Swans in last Saturday’s preliminary final.

Byron went into that match at full strength after a run of injuries.

A Bombers supporters bus will leave from the Shaws Bay Hotel. For more information contact Cassie on 0402 408 791.
