On The Road show to stop in Ballina
The Australian Women’s Weekly and Commonwealth Bank On the Road with the Nine Network’s Today show road train will arrive in Ballina next Tuesday, October 23, providing free entertainment from 10am until 2pm in Moon Street.
On the Road is a 20 metre vehicle that transforms into a stage, offering free community events to over five million regional Australians as it travels 25,000 kilometres touring every State and Territory during 2007.
On the Road will bring The Australian Women’s Weekly’s food, fashion, health and beauty expertise to regional readers, while the Commonwealth Bank’s regional financial experts will provide financial advice and host interactive workshops to help its rural customers meet their financial needs.
The first 50 community members to arrive at On the Road will receive a free sample bag containing an Australian Women’s Weekly mini-cookbook and mug, a Commonwealth Bank Dollarmite magnet, a full size Revlon lipstick and other beauty samples (one per person).
Free entertainment during the day will include live musical performances, cookery demonstrations, and Commonwealth Bank finance workshops.
Revlon will treat Ballina residents to beauty makeovers, and information about breast cancer awareness will be available from The National Breast Cancer Centre.
