Lennox surf club to hold doorknock appeal
The Lennox Head Alstonville Surf Life Saving Club will be conducting a door knock fund-raising campaign in the Lennox neighborhood on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of November.
Your support for your local surf club is the lifeblood of the organisation. Every donation, small or large will show your support,” the club said.
“2007 is the 100th birthday of surf lifesaving in Australia. Since 1907 Australia’s surf lifesavers have saved more than 500,000 lives, and most of those will have started out as a Nipper at their local surf club.
“The surf club is a vital community organisation which fosters a positive sense of community and responsibility, teaches surf skills to young people, and keeps our beautiful beaches safe.”
