Grafton inmate escapes; police seek assistance
Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a prisoner who escaped while being treated in Grafton Base Hospital on Sunday night.
Nathaniel Robert Young was wearing prison greens when he was last seen shortly before 9pm.
He is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, aged 25, 170cm-175cm tall, with a medium build and 75kg-85kg, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Young was a minimum-security prisoner at the time of his escape.
He is known to frequent the Far North Coast, Mid North Coast and Newcastle areas.
While Young was classed as a minimum-security prisoner, police warn members of the public not to approach him but to contact police immediately.
