Tony Zann’s weekly fishing report
Bruce at Dave’s Bait Shop says the whiting are getting even better up around Pimlico on the big tides, with bloodworms the ace bait.
Also a few in North Creek and around the sailing club in the evenings. Flatties have been all right in the lower reaches and along the Porpoise Wall, with a few upstream as well.
Quite a fair run of school jew from Burns Point to Wardell on soft plastics and a few better ones around the walls on bigger lures and bait.
Tailor off the headlands with fish to 3kg.
Not many reports from outside.
South Beach to Patchs good for whiting.
Water at Evans Head around 23 degrees and a reasonably clear green with a few whiting, dart and bream up the beaches and bream and school jew around the rocks.
River has flathead, whiting and bream. Offshore for a few trag and squire.
