Weekend surf report

There’s a messy easterly swell of about three foot today, but the sea conditions are about to change.

The forecast for this weekend is for a low pressure system to move down the Queensland coast, and it should bring onshore winds and plenty of rain.

Seas above six feet are predicted, so conditions should suit only the experienced surfers.

There’s been plenty of holiday-makers hitting the beaches — I counted at least 70 men, women and children out surfing yesterday morning at Flat Rock!
