Weekend surf report
Welcome to February. Let’s hope it’s kinder to surfers and beachgoers than January.
There’s been very little in the way of good surf since 2008 kicked in, and the dirty water in the aftermath of the flooding has been a real turn-off for the surfer and swimmer.
The good news is the water is clearing up and the foul smell of dead fish has gone.
The bad news? Well, it’s blowing onshore and it’s forecast to do so for the next few days.
There were some clean beach break waves this morning with a north-east swell of about three feet.
An early start could result in the same scenario over the weekend.
