Ballina RSL swimmers in good warm-up for national titles

swimmers.jpgThis group of Ballina RSL Swimming Club members have reason to be happy after coming a credible second to the powerful Southport RSL Swim team at the a recent Inter Zone swimming carnival. Teams from Coffs Harbour to the Gold Coast competed at the carnival with Ballina taking out several first places in individual events as well as team events.

The carnival held at Southport last Sunday was a good indication and warm-up for the AIF National Championships to be held in Goondiwindi on March 1, where teams from NSW and interstate will compete.

The Ballina RSL Swimming was formed in 1975 and meet at the Ballina Memorial Swimming Pool each Sunday morning at 8am from October to Easter. Ages of the members range from 12 to 75 years. All intending members are welcome.
