Weekend surf report

Great conditions this morning, with a south-westerly blowing into a six foot east-north-easterly swell.

The weekend forecast is for north-west to north-east winds on Saturday, with a switch back to the south on Sunday.

The good-sized swell is courtesy of Cyclone Gene and it should stick around for a couple of days yet.

Marine weather: S/SW 20/25 knots tending S/SE 15/20 knots during the day. Sea: 2/2.5 metres abating 1/2 metres. Swell: E/SE 2/2.5 metres. Isolated thunderstorms.

Outlook Saturday: NW/NE 10/15 knots ahead of a S/SE change 15/20 knots. Sea: 1/2 metres. Swell: SE about 2 metres. Isolated thunderstorms.

Outlook Sunday: S/SE 15/25 knots. Outlook Monday: E/SE 10/20 knots.
