Weekend surf report

South-west winds have cleaned up the swell to some degree, but unfortunately the water is still dirty.

There were waves of three to four foot this morning.

The wind is forecast to be south-west to south-east over the weekend.

Marine weather: S/SE 20/25 knots, easing to 13/18 knots later. Sea: 2/2.5 metres abating to about 1.5 metres in the evening. Swell: S 1.5/2.5 metres. Outlook Saturday: S/SE 15/20 knots increasing to 20/25 knots. Sea: 1.5/2.5 metres. Swell: S 1.5/2 metres. Outlook Sunday: SE 10/20 knots. Outlook Monday: E/SE 10/20 knots.

Don’t forget the Lennox National Surfing Reserve ceremony at Pat Morton Lookout from 11am on Saturday. Here’s hoping that the weather is fine.
