Anzac Day in Ballina, Alstonville
Ballina’s Anzac Day commemorations on Friday will begin with the Dawn Service from 5am.
Reveille will be from 5am with fall-in at 5.25am at the marker at the RSL Memorial in Grant Street, where the Dawn Service will begin at 5.30am.
Breakfast will be served for ex-servicemen, serving personnel and Ballina RSL Sub-Branch members.
At 8.45am a bus will depart form a pilgrimage to the cemetery.
At 9.15am there will be a commemoration at the cemetery.
Marchers will assemble at 10.20am at the Court House in River Street.
At 10.35am the march will proceed along River Street, finishing at the Grant Street memorial.
The Commemorative Service will begin at 10.55 at the memorial.
At Alstonville, Anzac Day commemorations will begin with the Dawn Service from 5.30am at Elizabeth Anne Brown Park.
Breakfast will be at the sub-branch hall about 6.30.
There will be a short service form 9.30am at the Paddy Bugden Memorial, and marchers will form up at 9.40am.
They will march through the main street, finishing at the Elizabeth Anne Brown Park for the main service.
