Weekend surf report

There’s a howling onshore and the ocean is a mess.

Unfortunately, things will stay pretty much the same over the weekend, with east to south-easterly winds forecast.

Byron could be protected from the wind, if you can handle the crowds.

Marine weather:

  • Friday: E/SE 15/20 knots in the south grading to 25/30 knots in the north. Sea: 1.5/2 metres in the south, 2.5/3 metres in the north. Swell: E 1.5/2 metres.
  • Outlook Saturday: E/SE 20/25 knots in the south, grading to 25/33 knots in the north. Sea: 2/3 metres reaching 3.5 metres in the north. Swell: E/NE 2/2.5 metres.
  • Outlook Sunday: E/SE 15/25 knots increasing to 25/35 knots in the north.
  • Outlook Monday: E/SE 25/35 knots.
