Weekend surf report
There are beach breaks everywhere today, courtesy of a four-foot east to north-east swell.
The winds are variable, with this morning’s light offshore predicted to swing onshore later.
But the good news for the weekend is the forecast of south to south-west winds.
They’re predicted to get up to 30 knots, so that, combined with an east coast low, should ensure there’s swell over the next few days.
Marine weather:
Friday: NW/SW 5/10 knots. Local inshore SE/NE seabreezes 5/10 knots during the afternoon. Sea: about 1 metre, rising to 1.5/2 metres offshore during the evening. Swell: E/SE 1/1.5 metres.
Outlook Saturday: W/SW 13/18 knots, increasing to S/SW 20/30 knots during the evening. Sea: 1/2 metres, rising to 2/3 metres during the evening. Swell: E/SE 1.5/2 metres.
Outlook Sunday: S/SW 20/30 knots.
Outlook Monday: S/SW 10/20 knots.
