Ballina Seagulls to hold grand final reunions
Big hits, great tries and epic victories will be re-enacted when Ballina Seagulls rugby league grand final winners hold a reunion during the clash against arch-rivals Marist Brothers at Kingsford Smith Park, Ballina, on Sunday.
All grand final team members in all grades from 1983 onwards are invited to attend.
It is 25 years since the Seagulls won the 1983 reserve grade and Under-18 grand finals at Kyogle.
Five years later the Greg Quinn-coached reserve grade team won the 1988 premiership at Grafton.
And five years later, Alan Perry coached Ballina’s first grade to the 1993 premiership win at Ballina.
And, again five years later, Michael Ross coached the Ballina Under-18s to a premiership as they finished the 1998 season undefeated.
A tent will be erected on the eastern hill for all premiership players.
Inquiries to Alan Lane on 6681 6096 or Graeme Flanagan on 6681 1069.
The festivities kick off at noon.
