Ballina picks its league Team of the Century

Irishman Eddie Barr wins Ballina golf pro-am

Expatriate Irishman Eddie Barr has won the Ballina Golf Club’s 2008 Pro-Am.
Barr shot a scintillating 6-under par 66 in Friday’s first round and backed it up with a three-under 69 today to finish on nine-under 135.
He won by a shot from Queenslander Stuart Bouvier.

Westlawn Finance gives Rotary fundraiser a $500 boost

Westlawn Finance Ballina have given the combined Rotary Clubs of Ballina-on-Richmond and Alstonville a kick-start to their major fundraiser for 2008, The Rotary Radio Auction, by donating $500 to the project.
The money will go towards promotion of the Radio Auction to be conducted in the last week of November.

Jetstar expands Ballina-Melbourne direct flights
