Comedy night is a fund-raiser for Wollongbar Community Preschool
Peter Grose has been in the laugh-making business for over 20 years after graduating from a two-year drama course, and he’s coming to our region to help raise funds for charity.
He is one of four comdedians who will be performing at the second annual Plateau Comedy Fest to be held at the Alstonville Leisure and Entertainment Centre on September 20.
He has headlined all over Australia. He has also worked in LA and New York. In 1993 Peter performed at the Edinburgh comedy Festival.
From 1987-1997 Peter owned, wrote, directed and performed at Crazies Comedy Restaurant, Brisbane.
Peter will be joined by Fiona McGary and Michael Bennett, while Mark McConville will MC the night.
The night has been organised as a fundraiser for the Wollongbar Community Preschool.
In addition to four amazingly funny comedians, you will have the chance to bid in the charity auction for fantastic prizes, such as your own personal marquee for you and nine friends at Ballina’s Boxing Day Races with food and beverages and your own personal waiter; aerobatic joy flight; Gold Coast Titans fully signed football jumper; Adam Gilchrist signed one-day Western Warriors Vest; Queensland State of Origin pack; and preschool children’s artwork.
There are also lucky door prizes to be won.
Doors will be open from 6pm for buffet dinner, pre-show entertainment by duo Ros & Adam and comedy show starting at 8pm for $50 per head, or show only (with doors opening at 7.30pm) for $30 per head. Full bar facilities will be available on the night.
